Equal spacing includes the gaps at both ends and between each slat.
How the spacing is calculated
Subtract the combined widths of all slats from the total distance (Z), then divide the remaining space evenly among the gaps.
Gap = (Z − number of slats × slat width) ÷ (number of slats + 1)
The calculation works with inches, centimeters, or any consistent unit of length.
